Harry definitely recommends the “ARENA VERUDELA BEACH **** APPARTMENTS” in Verudela/Pula/Istria/Croatia.
I’ve spent two weeks in this beautiful resort and I can fully recommend the SEA FRONT SUPERIOR APPARTMENTS of the “ARENA HOTEL/APPARTMENT RESORT” that offer an excellent mixture of relaxed atmosphere and resort advantages.
The appartments are well equipped and beautifully designed. As I stay in a lot of hotels and appartments during my travels, I have to point out that there is a difference between “well designed” and “designed for usefulness” and these appartments perfectly fit in both categories. Everything is of high quality and exactly at the place you would expect it. Well done!
Before reading on and if you didn’t do already, please watch the short video above to get a first overall impression before reading my comments on the appartments.
The Living Area with Kitchen
The living area itself has a couch with a small table in front of a 4K-TV that has the resort information system on it, has pre-installed streaming video apps like Netflix on it and also can be used fore wireless streaming of videos or music from the mobile phone (and if you’re technically talented also from the laptop). You will also find a desk phone and a closet for getting your stuff out of the way.
The kitchen and dining are of this section of the appartment has a table with 4 chairs which is perfect for rainy days, because otherwise you wouldn’t want to miss out the sensational sea view from the balcony.
The kitchen part has everything you will need during your stay. It’s well equipped with all the kitchen accessories you will need for a maximum of 4 persons. All of the kitchen stuff and the kitchen area itself was very new and clean.
The Sleeping Room
The sleeping room is the second largest room in the appartment and it is beautifully designed with light elements on the wall applications. The double beds are very comfortable and cozy. A perfect sleeping experience.
The sleeping room also has a direct sea view which is amazing at morning. Just open the curtains and stay in bed for a little longer and relax, listening to the sound of the sea and enjoy the beautiful view. That’s definitely how a day is supposed to start.
If you want to enjoy the evenings in bed with some entertainment, you find another 4K-TV mounted to the wall directly in front of the bed. Like the TV in the living area it features the resort information system, some pre-installed streaming apps and also the possibility to use it as target for streaming.
The room also has a small table with mirror and chair. The closet is big enough at least for all the stuff you need during a 2 week stay.
The sleeping room has a door, so no worries. You can get up early, even if your partner wants to sleep a bit longer.
The Bathroom
The bathroom is small, but also very well designed in the colors of the adriatic sea. Very cozy.
It has a sink, mirror, enough space to get your stuff somewhere, a fitting painting which fits the room very good, a toilet and a quite big shower. A hair blower is also there, if you need it.
Hot water supply is very good, just be sure to switch it on with the switch directly in front of the bathroom, when you arrive.
Everything was extremely clean when I arrived and the room service, which was offcourse a bit reduce3d because of the Covid situation, was excellently organized, friendly and very helpful all the time. You have a constant supply of towels, toilet paper and the staff doesn everything to make you feel comfortable.
The Balcony
The balcony of the appartment is reachable from both, the living room and the sleeping room and has direct sea view, which is absolutely beautiful. Sun for the whole day and evening. Truely relaxing.
The furniture of the balcony is of high quality and has a nice clean design. No cheap stuff here. Perfect!
You also have a clothes horse to dry your stuff after the beach. Just be sure nothing flies away during the night. Especially from September on it can be windy during the nights.
The Appartment Surroundings
You have all the stuff you need in walking distance:
- Restaurants (I fully recommend the Bonaca Restaurant and Lounge Bar)
- Various beaches (Cliff beaches aswell as marble beaches)
- Sightseeing and nature spots (Verudela Canyon, Sveta Stijena and the Aquarium in the old fortress)
- Sports (Tennis courts, basketball, water sports and much more)
I would say the location is perfect and even for your sightseeing trips around Istria, Pula is a good starting point with almost everything reachable within an hour.
But as already said, there is already some nice stuff surrounding the appartment that will keep you busy for 1 to 3 days.
When going for day trips, you can easily avoid the highway and it’s costs, as you won’t save time with it, because you’re only allowed to drive 110 km/h on it. Better use the normal streets and you will find sightseeing gems during your drive.
The Conclusion
The ARENA VERUDELA BEACH **** APPARTMENTS fully satisfied my expectations. Even more I was surprised and amazed by the perfect way the resort tackles the Corona situation. Upon arrival you will find a kit with masks, desinfectant wipes, etc., so you even get a safer feeling and know that the resort takes the Covid situation serious and acts according to it.
The staff at the reception and the room maids are always friendly and helpful. Especially the room maids did an excellent job and the appartment was exceptionally clean when we arrived.
For two truely perfect weeks with an affordable price tag I award these appartments to be my personal:
